JCU Indigenous Research Training Scholarships

The Indigenous Research Training Scholarships are offered by James Cook University (JCU) to support outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) through a Higher Degree by Research (HDR). These scholarships aim to enhance research training opportunities and promote Indigenous-led research in Australia.

JCU awards these scholarships annually on a competitive basis, selecting the most exceptional applicants through a rigorous assessment process. Applicants will automatically be considered for all scholarships they qualify for, and ranking will follow the Scholarship Scoring Procedure.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
