UTS Academic Excellence International Scholarship 2025

The UTS Academic Excellence International Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity sponsored by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to attract outstanding international students. This scholarship aims to support high-performing students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs at UTS in Sydney.

The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and is available to international students who meet the eligibility criteria. Recipients will receive a tuition fee reduction for the standard duration of their course.

  • Scholarship type: Partial tuition fee scholarship
  • Tuition fee coverage: 30% of UTS tuition fees
  • Duration: The standard number of credit points required for the course
  • Study Level: Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework
  • Citizen type: International students
  • Mode of study: Full-time and on-campus in Sydney

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident).
  • Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  • For undergraduate applicants: Must have completed an Australian Year 12 or an equivalent UTS-recognized high school qualification.
  • For postgraduate applicants: Must have completed a UTS-recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher qualification.
  • Must commence full-time studies on campus in Sydney.

Applicants will not be eligible if they:

  • Are studying an online or distance learning degree.
  • Have completed an external articulation or pathway program from an institution outside Australia.
  • Are recipients of other UTS scholarships or grants.
  • Are government-sponsored students.

Selection Criteria 

Selection is based on academic merit, as determined by:

  • For undergraduate applicants: Academic performance in Australian Year 12 or a UTS-recognized high school qualification.
  • For postgraduate applicants: Academic merit in the most recently completed tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher).
  • Performance in standardized tests such as GMAT or GRE (for specific UTS Business School programs).

How to Apply 

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions will automatically assess all international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS.

Once selected, offers will be made by UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions.
