UWA Ocean Science Scholarship 2025
The Ocean Science Scholarship is sponsored by the University of Western Australia (UWA) to support exceptional domestic and international students pursuing advanced research in ocean sciences and engineering. Offered through the renowned Oceans Graduate School, this scholarship aims to foster innovation and excellence in diverse ocean-related disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a Master’s or Honours degree with a first-class honours result (WAM of 80+ or HD).
- Be eligible to commence a PhD or MPhil program at UWA.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and commitment to ocean-related research.
- Be from any nationality.
Eligible Courses or Study Programs: Programs in relevant ocean-related fields under UWA's Oceans Graduate School.
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed based on:
- Academic Excellence: Strong performance in previous degrees (e.g., WAM or honours results).
- Research Potential: Demonstrated through publications, prior research experience, or awards.
- Alignment of Research Interests: Fit between the applicant’s research goals and UWA’s expertise in ocean sciences.
- Professional Experience: Relevant work or field experience.
- Referee Recommendations: Positive endorsements from academic referees.
