Southern Cross University Destination Australia Scholarship
The Destination Australia Scholarship is an initiative designed to attract and support both domestic and international students to study at regional campuses in Australia. This program aims to strengthen regional universities and provide students with the opportunity to experience learning in smaller, vibrant communities with unique natural settings and world-class facilities. At Southern Cross University (SCU), students can benefit from smaller class sizes and the stunning surroundings of campuses like Lismore and Coffs Harbour.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a first-time commencing student who has never studied at this level before.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at one of SCU’s regional campuses (Lismore, Coffs Harbour, or National Marine Science campus).
- Meet the Commonwealth of Australia definition of ‘new student to Southern Cross University’.
- Maintain ongoing residency in a regional area as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) Edition 3 for the duration of each study period.
- Residency away from the regional area is permitted for one study period (not exceeding six months) for certain program requirements like clinical placements. Approval must be sought if the placement duration exceeds this timeframe.
- International students must maintain a valid student visa for the scholarship's duration to ensure compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.
- Offers for 2025 will be made only if an opportunity to reallocate an existing scholarship grant becomes available.

- Applicants must meet all outlined eligibility criteria.
- Selection will be carried out via a computer-generated lottery system to ensure fairness and transparency.
