Curtin STAR Scholarship 2025
The Curtin STAR Scholarship aims to provide support to students facing socio-economic challenges or financial hardship, who might otherwise be unable to attend university. By reducing financial barriers, the scholarship allows students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their educational goals at Curtin University. This scholarship is open to students pursuing undergraduate degrees in a wide range of fields.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Curtin STAR Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder, or New Zealand citizen.
- Select Curtin University as their first preference through TISC or apply directly to Curtin by the scholarship’s closing date to pursue an eligible degree and major in 2025.
- Receive an offer for an eligible course and enroll in a minimum of 25 credit points at Curtin University in Semester 1, 2025.
- Come from a low socio-economic background, as determined by the responses provided in the application form.
- Demonstrate financial hardship.
How to apply
Step 1: Access the online application form.
- The application form can be found via the ‘Apply Online’ button on the scholarships page, directing applicants to the general "Equity Scholarship Program" form. Once submitted, applicants will be automatically considered for all equity scholarships available for the given round.
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students can apply for all scholarships, both equity and merit-based, using a single application form.
Step 2: Complete the application form.
- Applicants can save their progress at any point.
- Helpful tips on how to complete the application form are available on the Curtin scholarships website.
Step 3: Submit the application.
- The deadline is listed on the scholarships page.
- Incomplete applications will not be assessed.
- Once submitted, the application status will be updated to "submitted."
Step 4: Receipt.
- An application receipt will be sent to the email address used during Curtin account creation.
Step 5: Assessment.
- An assessment panel will evaluate applications based on:
- Receipt of an offer for an undergraduate course at Curtin University for 2025.
- Responses provided in the application form.
- Demonstrated financial hardship.
- Socio-economic background.
Step 6: Outcome.
- Applicants will be notified of the outcome via their listed email after main round course offers are made. All applicants, successful and unsuccessful, will receive notification.
- Note: Students cannot receive multiple scholarships if they are funded by the same source or serve the same purpose.
Step 7: Acceptance.
- Successful applicants, including those wishing to defer, must accept their offer by the deadline specified.
- The scholarship may be deferred for up to 12 months, with details outlined in the scholarship terms and conditions
