Curtin University Excellence Scholarship 2025
This scholarship has been established by Curtin University to reward and encourage academic excellence in students with a strong Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). The Curtin Excellence Scholarship offers financial assistance to students who have demonstrated high academic achievements and aspire to pursue undergraduate studies at Curtin University.
Eligible students do not need to submit a separate application. The selection is automatic based on their ATAR scores, provided they select an eligible Curtin undergraduate degree as their first preference through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) by the scholarship deadline.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Curtin Excellence Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder, or New Zealand Citizen.
- Have Curtin University as their first preference on TISC for an eligible undergraduate degree by the closing date.
- Be a high school leaver completing year 12 WACE in 2024.
- Undertake at least four ATAR subjects and achieve an ATAR between 96-96.99 (one-year scholarship) or 97 and above (three-year scholarship).
- Receive an offer of admission to an eligible Curtin course for Semester 1, 2025, during the main round of offers.
- Enroll full-time (at least 75 credit points per study period) in an eligible course at Curtin University.
Additional Notes:
- Recipients of the StepUp bonus, which may boost ATAR scores to the required level, are eligible for the scholarship.
- Applicants required to sit for the STAT Written English test may still be considered if they meet all other eligibility criteria.
- The scholarship can be deferred for up to one year.
Selection Criteria

How to Apply
No separate application is necessary for the Curtin Excellence Scholarship. Eligible students need to follow these steps:
Select Preferences Through TISC:
Ensure Curtin University is listed as the first preference for an eligible undergraduate degree.
Receive a Course Offer:
Candidates must receive an offer for their preferred degree in the main round offers for Semester 1, 2025.
Outcome Notification:
Successful candidates will be notified via the email provided through TISC after main round offers are announced.
Accept the Scholarship:
Recipients must accept their scholarship offer as outlined in the email. Deferred acceptance is allowed as per the scholarship's terms and conditions.
Conditions for Maintaining the Scholarship
To retain the Curtin Excellence Scholarship, recipients must:
- Remain enrolled in an eligible Curtin undergraduate course.
- Maintain a full-time study load of at least 75 credit points per study period.
- Achieve a minimum Course Weighted Average (CWA) of 70 each study period.
