Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Ethical Risk Imposition and Just Risk Distribution in Vaccine Policy

The Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney is offering a postgraduate research scholarship to support PhD candidates focusing on ethical risk imposition and equitable risk distribution within vaccine policy, both in Australia and globally. This research project will critically examine the ethical complexities and social challenges surrounding vaccine policy, aiming to shed light on fair and responsible risk allocation in public health interventions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Interest in Vaccine Policy Ethics: Applicants should exhibit a strong focus on understanding the complexities of risk distribution as it relates to vaccine implementation, particularly with regard to factors like race, gender, economics, and politics.
  • Recommendations: Letters of support from academic or professional referees attesting to the applicant’s capabilities, academic promise, and research focus.
  • Alignment with the Canadian Bridge Research Consortium (BRC): The successful recipient will engage in collaborative efforts with this consortium, supporting mutual research goals.
