About the Position
The Academic Excellence Scholarship is a prestigious award that recognizes and rewards academically gifted students who have achieved outstanding results in their Higher School Certificate (HSC), or equivalent. This scholarship is designed to support students who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and encourage them to pursue their academic goals at Western Sydney University.
Overview
The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year for up to four years, paid in instalments of $2,500 per semester. The scholarship can be used to support living costs, tuition fees, or other education-related expenses. This scholarship is a great opportunity for students to focus on their studies and achieve their full potential.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible New Zealand Citizen
- Be a current high school leaver
- Be enrolled in any undergraduate degree at Western Sydney University
- Reside in Greater Western Sydney
- Have completed the Higher School Certificate in Greater Western Sydney
- Demonstrate a high level of academic achievement through a minimum ATAR of 90 or equivalent
Additionally, applicants must also meet the following conditions:
- Meet the admission requirements for their chosen undergraduate degree
- Enroll in a minimum of 20 credit points per semester
- Maintain a full-time study load (except in exceptional circumstances)
How to Apply
There is no application required for this scholarship. Selection will be undertaken on the basis of highest ATAR, to the maximum number of scholarships available. A course quota and True Reward early offer program quota applies.
Applicants will be automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply for admission to Western Sydney University. No separate application is required.
