Eligibility Criteria for the PhD Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:
- Have at least one degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., geography, environmental science, business, economics, finance). Experience in conservation science, human geography, environmental finance, and/or corporate sustainability is advantageous.
- Demonstrate proficiency in social science research methods; additional methods like geospatial analysis and economic analysis are a plus.
- Have an excellent academic track record, with preference given to those holding an Australian or equivalent international Honours or Master’s degree with first-class honours/H1.
- Meet the English-language proficiency requirements for a PhD in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University.
- Be enrolled full-time and on-campus in Melbourne. Note: Applicants who already hold a PhD will not be considered.

- Brief research proposal (up to 750 words, excluding references) that fits within the project scope.
- Curriculum vitae, including any published works, conference presentations, and relevant work experience.
- Full statement of academic record and official grading system, supported by certified documentation.
- English language proficiency test results (if applicable).
- Contact details of 2 academic referees.
