This prestigious scholarship opportunity is sponsored by the Australian Government and administered by the University of South Australia (UniSA). The RTPi scholarships aim to attract students who demonstrate exceptional research potential and academic excellence from around the world to study in Australia. Candidates are selected based on merit and their ability to contribute to their research field of choice.

RTPi Scholarship Benefits and Value

  • Scholarship type: Full tuition fee waiver

  • Stipend value: Living allowance of at least $32,500 per annum (2023 rate), paid fortnightly

Eligibility Criteria for RTPi Scholarships

  • Meet UniSA’s English language proficiency and academic entry requirements

  • Be enrolling full-time in a program supported by an approved research project with an available RTPi position

Selection Criteria for RTPi Scholarships

Selection for RTPi scholarships is highly competitive and will be based on:

  • Relevance of the applicant’s proposed research to UniSA’s strategic research areas

  • Professional experience and previous research training

  • Quality and relevance of the applicant’s referees’ recommendations
