Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarships (RTPS) - International Students

Multiple Postgraduate Research scholarships are available at Adelaide University via the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarships (RTPS) - International Students. These scholarships are available for eligible international students to undertake research Master or PhD at the University.

These scholarships shall provide tuition fees support and living allowances for the successful recipients. Applications for research degree programs are open all year round at Adelaide University, however, to be considered for a scholarship, applicants will need to apply in one of the scholarship rounds.

Scholarship Overview

• Scholarship type: Full tuition fee cover
• Stipend Value:$28,854 (2022 rate) p.a, paid every fortnight stipends
• Additional benefits: support for an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), plus relocation and publication expenses.
• Degree Program: Masters/PhD
• Field of study: All study areas
• Citizen type: International students
• Country: open to all nationalities/Gender
• Scholarship Duration: up to 2 years for a  masters program, up to 3 years for a doctoral program (with a possible 6-month extension)
• Application Deadline: July 1 2022

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for RTP scholarships at Adelaide University, the applicant must have

to meet the minimum entry requirements for a research degree program at the University of Adelaide. The applicant:

1.  must be eligible to enrol in a full-time Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program at the University of Adelaide
2. As an international applicant, you must maintain 'international student' status for the duration of your enrolment at the University. 
3.  Must meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements to study at the University of Adelaide

The application for these scholarships is done online. Applicants can apply for this scholarship by submitting an application for admissions and scholarships using the Online Application Form

 Applications for admissions into research degree programs at Adelaide University are open all year round, however, scholarships have deadlines. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must submit their  application for candidature before the scholarship deadline( 1 July 2022)
