Victoria University invites applications for its International Research
Scholarships. Multiple Masters research and PhD positions are
available to students with excellent academic qualifications to
undertake a postgraduate research scholarship within any field of study
across the University
Four types of Postgraduate research scholarships are available for eligible
international students to study at Victoria University, these
include:

International

Scholarships(VUIPRS)

Selected Project-Based Research Scholarship
These scholarships provide tuition fees and a living allowance. The
scholarships support high-quality research and are awarded on the basis of
academic merit. Applicants should apply for these scholarships while
submitting applications for a research degree program. Applications for
admission close on 14 May 2023 for international students. All applications
must therefore be submitted before the international student deadline to be
considered for a scholarship.

1. Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarships –
International
RTP Stipend Scholarships are open for both MSc and PhD degree programs
within any field of study. RTP Stipend Scholarships are funded by the
Australian government to support eligible international students to
undertake a research degree at Victoria University. They are awarded to the
successful recipients on the basis of academic merit and research
potential

Scholarships(VUIPRS)
Victoria University International Postgraduate Research
Scholarships(VUIPRS) are open for both MSc and PhD degree programs within

research school to support international students with outstanding academic
qualifications to undertake a research degree at Victoria University. They
are awarded to the successful recipients on the basis of academic merit and

Eligibility Criteria for these scholarships
To be eligible for one of these scholarships, the applicant must:
Applicants for a RTP Stipend Scholarship – International or VU
International Postgraduate Research Scholarship must also:

have achieved an average grade of H1 (above 80% VU Standard) in the
Honours or final year
-
meet the
University’s English language proficiency requirements
for enrolment in a research degree
-
be commencing masters by research or doctoral degree
-
enrol as a full-time student.
How to apply for a research scholarship at VU
To apply for a research scholarship at Victoria University, interested
applicants must contact a supervisor and receive an in-principle approval
from that supervisor before they submit their application. Application for

research degree program
