About the position
Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Law and Transnational Regulation
Applications are invited for a fully-funded Postgraduate Research
Scholarship in Law and Transnational Regulation at the University of Sydney.
The scholarship is available to conduct research in research the
effects of transnational financial regulation in Australia. The scholarship
is open to any eligible applicant with previous and strong research
experience in law or an allied social science discipline (desirable
criteria.
The Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Law and Transnational
Regulation will provide a stipend allowance of $28,612 per annum for up to
three years. No extension is possible.

Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this scholarship opportunity, the interested applicant
must meet the following criteria:

have an unconditional offer of admission or be enrolled to study a
full-time PhD at the University of Sydney Law School
-
be willing to conduct research on the effects of transnational
financial regulation in Australia as part of the ARC project on Peer
Review of Financial Regulatory Agencies
-
hold an honours degree (first-class or second upper) or equivalent in
law or an allied social science discipline, such as political science,
international relations, sociology or equivalent (a master’s degree
with a research component will also satisfy this requirement)
-
be supervised by Associate Professor Yane Svetiev and Associate
Professor Andrew Edgar at the Sydney Law School
-
have some previous research experience in law or an allied social
science discipline (desirable criteria).
