Central Queensland University Australian Government Research Training
Program(RTP) Scholarships 2023-24(fully funded MSc/PhD positions)
Applications are currently open for two fully-funded Masters and PhD
research positions at Central Queensland University via the Australian
Government Research Training Program(RTP) Scholarships 2023. These fully-funded scholarships are open for eligible international students to undertake
Masters or PhD by research within any field of study across the University.
The RTP scholarships provided by the commonwealth government of Australia
would be awarded on a merit-based competitive process. The scholarships would
be awarded to students with strong academic potential and excellent academic
achievements. The RTP scholarships at Central Queensland University
provide full tuition fees and living support for the successful
recipients

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, international applicants:

Must be an overseas candidate enrolled in an accredited RHD course of
study at CQUniversity.

Must not be receiving income from another source to support the
candidate’s general living costs while undertaking their course of study
if that income is greater than 75 per cent of the candidate’s RTP Stipend
rate. Income unrelated to the candidate’s course of study or income
received for the candidate’s course of study but not for the purposes of
supporting general living costs is not taken into account.

Must not be receiving an equivalent award of scholarship from the
Commonwealth designed to offset RHD tuition fees.
Selection criteria: How will the scholarship be awarded
RTP scholarships will be awarded on a merit-based competitive process. The
scholarship will be awarded to the successful applicants based on the
following criteria:
- Academic achievement and writing skills (0-20 points)

Quality of research project and alignment with CQUniversity research
priority areas (0-15 points)

Evidence of motivation, research experience and research environment
(0-15 points)
How to apply
RTP scholarships at CQU have no direct application.
To apply, interested applicants are encouraged to contact potential
supervisors(See link for supervisors) to discuss research interests and other related relevant matters. If
successful, the prospective applicants will be invited by the School of
Graduate Research to complete an application, based on the recommendation of
the supervisory team.
