The ANU Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Stipend
Scholarships are prestigious international student award programs funded by
the Commonwealth Government of Australia hosted in partner Universities.
The ANU AGRTP Stipend Scholarships are available to support eligible
international students undertaking a research degree program(MSc/PhD) across
any field of study in the University.
These scholarships are available to provide living support and other academic
allowances for successful applicants. The equivalent of this scholarship for
tuition support is the ANU AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarships 2023. This provides full-tuition supports to complement the previously
mentioned.

Applications for ANU AGRTP Stipend Scholarship are accepted all year
through rounds. Applicants can submit applications for Research Degree
Programs admissions any time throughout the year, however, take note of the
scholarship rounds deadline if you are to be considered for a scholarship.
Below is the deadline for the AGRTP Stipend Scholarship rounds annually:

31 August for Round 1
- 15 April for Round 2
In order to be considered for this scholarship in Round 1,
International students are required to apply for admission by 31
August.
Eligibility Criteria for the ANU AGRTP Stipend Scholarship
Interested applicants must meet the ANU AGRTP Stipend Scholarship in
order to be eligible for these scholarships;

Applicants must be an international student who is to enrol in a full-time
research degree program leading to the degree of Doctor of
Philosophy/Master of Philosophy/Professional Doctorate at The Australian
National University in the program for which it is awarded.

The student must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship
from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees.
Selection criteria
Successfully candidates are selected based on a competitive ranking
process, to the top-ranked candidates, subject to evidence:
- they meet merit-based selection criteria, and
- subject to confirmation of a qualified supervisor,

space and resources being available, in an area of research that is
aligned with ANU research strategy.

No application is required specifically for this scholarship as all
eligible candidates will be considered automatically. Applicants are
expected to submit an application for a research degree admission program
when applying for this scholarship. Note to ensure you are considered
please ensure you select the appropriate boxes in the admissions
application form to note that you are interested in being considered for a
scholarship.
