About China Scholarship Council (CSC)-Curtin University Australia

This is one of the most famous Chinese student scholarship body in Australia. China Scholarship Council (CSC) program is a national Chinese government program supporting all outstanding Chinese students who wish to study abroad and is being administered by partner Universities. Curtin University is a partner to this national scholarship program. In Curtin University, the scholarship is open all year round. Meaning you can apply any time of the year if you meet the requirements. This is a postgraduate scholarship program mostly for research degree students(HRD). In previous about 6000 Chinese students have been selected for this program to study abroad.

• Travel expenses: Flight tickets covered
• Scholarship type: Postgraduate Research Scholarships full time (HRD)
• Faculty or study areas concerned  for this scholarship: Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Science & Engineering; Science courses, Engineering courses, Western Australian School of Mines (WASM)
• Open : To new commencing Chinese Citizens students only
• Application Deadline : All year around. Applications opens in each year calendar. Two rounds are common:

Round 1:March of each calendar year

Round 2: May of each calendar year

First round applications always have more rooms to secure a scholarship so it is recommended to apply as early as possible within the above mentioned periods.

Eligibility criteria China Scholarship Council (CSC)-Curtin University Australia

To be eligible  eligible for the China scholarship program :

• Applicants  must hold a conditional scholarship offer letter from Curtin University. 
• Applicants  must hold a conditional offer of enrolment subject to the CSC award 
• Applicants must meet the entry requirements of Curtin University, including a high level of English language proficiency. 
•   Applicants must comply with the Australian Government's English proficiency requirements for the issue of a student visa. 
•  Applicants must or intend to pursue  a Higher Degree by Research in one of the priority academic areas identified by CSC or one of Curtin University identified disciplines.

How to apply for China Scholarship Council (CSC)-Curtin University Australia

The application process for this scholarship is in four steps. see below :

Step 1: Find a suitable supervisor and discuss your area of interest. See Link to find a supervisor for this program in Curtin University: http://www.curtin.edu.au/research/find-researchers/supervisors/. 

See guide on how to successfully contact potential supervisors when seeking for masters or PhD studentship position to study abroad. Take note that Supervisor must agreed to supervisor before you can be accepted to apply in the program. This is the very step towards securing a research degree scholarship.

Step 2:Submit application. Once you have found a suitable supervisor who has agreed to supervisor you, submit your online e-application for admission at:  https://study.curtin.edu.au/applying/research/#areas-research 

Step 3: Review of applications. Your e-application will be reviewed and if successful , an offer of admission will given to you . Next you will need to apply to the China Scholarship Council for consideration of a scholarship and include your offer of admission from Curtin University as part of your application. 

Step 4: If successful you need to provide your confirmation of a China Scholarship Council scholarship offer to your supervisor who will attach it to a HDR Scholarship Nomination form and submit it to the Graduate Research School for review. 

Note :For round scholarships applicants, you are strongly recommended to submit this application before January 31.
