About the positions JCU Indigenous Research Training Scholarships The Indigenous Research Training Scholarships are offered by James Cook University (JCU) to support outstanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) through a Higher Degree by Research (HDR). These scholarships aim to enhance research training opportunities and promote Indigenous-led research in Australia. JCU awards these scholarships annually on a competitive basis, selecting the most exceptional applicants through a rigorous assessment process. Applicants will automatically be considered for all scholarships they qualify for, and ranking will follow the Scholarship Scoring Procedure.
